Volleyball Recap: Lakewood Comes Up Short

Lakewood lost against Liberty back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Piners fell 2-0 to the Lions. The Piners have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Lakewood was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-23.

Lakewood's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Liberty, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-4.

Lakewood wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Lacey Township on the 5th. Liberty has also already played their next game (against Holmdel), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
