Volleyball Game Preview: Franklin Wildcats vs. Oakwood Lumberjacks

Franklin is 0-9 against Oakwood since September of 2016 but things could change on Saturday. The Wildcats will challenge the Lumberjacks at 10:00 a.m. Franklin will be strutting in after a victory while Oakwood will be coming in after a defeat.

Franklin will bounce into Saturday's matchup after beating Monroe, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Wildcats walked away with a 3-1 win over the Hornets on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Meanwhile, Oakwood came up short against Brookville on Thursday and fell 3-1.

Oakwood started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-14, 25-19, 25-22.

Oakwood's loss dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Franklin, their victory bumped their record up to 11-8.

Franklin couldn't quite get it done against Oakwood in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
