Tonga Made His Presence Known in Leuzinger's 34-29 Defeat
Starting off the list is Leuzinger's Journee Tonga, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Tonga rushed for 162 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.0 yards per carry, and also picked up 95 receiving yards and two touchdowns. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 101 rushing yards dating back to last season.
Inglewood's probably not too fond of Tonga given he always seems to get the better of them. Tonga rushed for 151 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries the last time he and the Sentinels duked it out back in October of 2023.

Seth Shigg and Co. Win Fifth in a Row
Seth Shigg's big game helped extend Culver City's winning streak to five on Friday. Shigg was unstoppable, rushing for 114 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries, while also throwing for 279 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 13.3 yards per attempt.
Culver City pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Shigg will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant effort when he faces off against Mira Costa on Friday.

Kingston Tisdell Delivers Electric Performance Vs Leuzinger
Kingston Tisdell was instrumental in extending Inglewood's winning streak to six on Friday. Tisdell turned in nothing short of a gem, throwing for 305 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 13.9 yards per attempt, and also punching in a touchdown on the ground. His passing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 305 passing yards.
Inglewood's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-0. Tisdell and Inglewood will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Lawndale at 7:00 p.m.

A Season-Best Effort from Andre Nickerson Leads Inglewood over Leuzinger
On Friday, Inglewood got the W thanks in part to Andre Nickerson playing the best football he has all season. Nickerson picked up 204 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He torched the secondary when he pulled down a catch that went for 70 yards.
This season, Nickerson has caught 8 touchdowns while averaging 85.3 receiving yards per game.
