Millard West was the 2-1 winner over Waverly when they last played one another back in September of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Wildcats fell 2-0 to the Vikings on Saturday. The Wildcats' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Taya Thaden paced Millard West's offense, picking up five kills. Thaden got some help from Ava Waters and her seven assists.

Waverly can attribute much of their success to Emmalyn Quinn, who had 12 digs and one assist.

Millard West's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Waverly, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.

Millard West wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Papillion-LaVista on the 16th. As for Waverly, they have also already played their next game, a 3-2 loss against Norris on the 16th.
