Basketball Recap: Oakhaven Beats Memphis School of Excellence Winchester for Their Third Straight Victory

Oakhaven had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 64-44 margin over the Memphis School of Excellence Winchester Eagles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 62-25 back in January.

Oakhaven got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Derrick Betts out in front who posted 15 points. Betts continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Aamyr Deener, who scored 15 points.

Oakhaven's victory bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Memphis School of Excellence Winchester, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.

Oakhaven does not have any more games scheduled as of now. We've got a battle between Eagles coming up. Memphis School of Excellence Winchester is facing Freedom Prep Academy at the right time seeing as Freedom Prep Academy is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
