Volleyball Recap: Faith Christian Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Varsity Opponent on Tuesday, Faith Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Conquerors came up short against the Community Christian Cyclones on Friday, falling 3-0. The Conquerors haven't had much luck with the Cyclones recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Community Christian scored at least 17 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-17, 25-18.

Community Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Autumn Bradshaw, who had 16 assists. That's the most assists Bradshaw has posted since back in September. Emilee Finberg was another key player, getting nine kills and three blocks.

Faith Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Community Christian, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-3.

Faith Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Community Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Jacksonville Christian Academy on the 17th.
