Brimmer & May had to start their season on the road on Saturday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 98-74 to the Newman AAA Cardinals.
Newman AAA's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chase Geremia, who went 7 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 21 points. Those seven threes gave Geremia a new career-high. Carson McDonald was another key player, going 8 for 11 en route to 18 points plus five rebounds and two blocks.
