Softball Recap: Carlisle Takes a Loss

Carlisle had lost five straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 1-5 to make it six. They lost 10-4 to the Lower Dauphin Falcons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bison of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

As for Lower Dauphin, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-3. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won five matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

For Lower Dauphin's part, Sadie Borrelli made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. That's the most strikeouts Borrelli has posted since back in April of 2025. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Jordan Frye was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in May of 2025. Another player making a difference was Carissa Wenner, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Carlisle is set to take on their familiar foe Hershey at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Lower Dauphin will face off against rival Central Dauphin East at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
