Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Sara Amsbury and Aidian Cordero Santana Lead Crystal River to Victory

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Crystal River walked away with it. They secured a 46-40 W over the Santa Fe Raiders on Tuesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Pirates as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Leading Crystal River to victory were Aidian Cordero Santana and Sara Amsbury. Cordero Santana went 6 for 11 on her way to 23 points and five boards, while Amsbury posted eight points and six rebounds. Those 23 points gave Cordero Santana a new career-high.

Crystal River's victory bumped their record up to 8-12. As for Santa Fe, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-18.

Crystal River will challenge Dunnellon on Thursday. That match will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Angel Hughes and Tonyah Boggs. Santa Fe does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
