Basketball Recap: Bryce Wright Key Part of a Team Effort in Eagles Win

There's no place like home for Avella, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They took down Beaver County Christian 59-40 on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against Beaver County Christian back in January, they had to take a 60-44 loss.

Avella's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bryce Wright, who went 6 for 11 on his way to 18 points and seven boards. Wright is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 40% in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Brayden Fuller, who went 7 of 11 to rack up 15 points and four steals.

Avella's record now sits at 10-12. As for Beaver County Christian, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-7.

As of now, neither Avella nor Beaver County Christian have any future games scheduled.
