Basketball Game Preview: Franklin Wildcats vs. Ross Rams

The Franklin Wildcats will face off against the Ross Rams at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. The timing isn't great for Franklin: they have been struggling with seven straight losses at home, while Ross has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road.

Having struggled with eight defeats in a row, Franklin turned things around against Edgewood on Monday. They slipped by the Cougars 32-31.

Meanwhile, Ross didn't have too much trouble with Wyoming on Monday as they won 42-27. Given the Rams' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 168th, while the Cowboys are ranked 436th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Ross' win bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Franklin, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-12.

Franklin was taken down by Ross 59-18 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Franklin was down 41-6.
