Baseball Recap: Nooksack Valley Comes Up Short

Nooksack Valley fell victim to Mount Vernon and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 12-0. The Pioneers haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Nooksack Valley's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Mount Vernon, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-4.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Nooksack Valley will face off against rival Anacortes at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Mount Vernon is set to take on their familiar foe Meridian at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bulldogs 2.1, the Trojans 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
