Baseball Recap: Blue Ridge Takes a Loss

Blue Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 7-2 to the Seneca Bobcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Fighting Tigers of the 6-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.

Blue Ridge saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Justin Gilpin, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Blue Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Seneca, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Blue Ridge beat Seneca by a score of 6-5 on Friday.
