Volleyball Recap: Pamlico Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Pamlico Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Jacksonville Christian Academy Conquerors. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mariners of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2023.

The final score came out to 25-8, 25-6, 25-18.

Jacksonville Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Violette Smith out in front who had 11 digs and one assist. Another player making a difference was Angela Stevens, who had six digs and two aces.

Pamlico Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Jacksonville Christian Academy, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 11-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pamlico Christian Academy will face off against Community Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Jacksonville Christian Academy, they will head out to square off against Fellowship Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
