3A Region 7 recap September 10, 2013
Franklin County scaled the state rankings by moving to 123 from 166 this week, the biggest jump in 3A Region 7. The Bulldogs climbed the ranks as a result of topping McComb 33-28.
Jefferson County and Port Gibson played the closest game in the league this week, with Jefferson County eventually emerging with a 12-8 victory.
Thanks to the talents of Jarvis Warner and D'Alex Rockingham, Hazlehurst has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Warner leads the league in passing with 374 yards, while Rockingham has rushed for 185 yards this season. Tops in the league in receving yards is Crystal Springs's Jerriko Morris, with 130 yards on 4 catches.
Wilkinson County took down Amite County 38-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Devin Voorhies threw for 116 yards and ran for 141 yards during the win.
