Baseball Recap: Cassopolis Triumphs

While Cassopolis's win against Bloomingdale wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Rangers narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Cardinals 8-6. The win continues a trend for the Rangers in their matchups with the Cardinals: they've now won five in a row.

Gavin Anderson was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Cassopolis is undefeated when Anderson posts two or more runs, but 2-11 otherwise. Lucas Williams was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Cassopolis' victory bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Bloomingdale, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.

Looking ahead, Cassopolis will challenge Hartford at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Rangers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Huskies have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season. As for Bloomingdale, they will host Lawton at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
