Softball Recap: Westbrook Wins Going Away Against Noble

Westbrook got themselves on the board against Noble on Friday, but Noble never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 15-0 victory. That looming 15-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Blue Blazes yet this season.

Madison Ross made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Ross was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Westbrook got a massive performance out of Emma Boulette, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most hits Boulette has posted since back in May of 2024. Ava Anderson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double.

Westbrook was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .600. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

The win made it two in a row for Westbrook and bumps their season record up to 5-3. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Noble, they dropped their record down to 2-7 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
