Soccer Game Preview: Calabasas vs. Agoura

The Calabasas Coyotes will face off against the Agoura Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Calabasas will be strutting in after a win while Agoura will be coming in after a loss.

Agoura better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Calabasas really get things going. Calabasas never let Oaks Christian onto the board and left with a 3-0 victory on Wednesday. Given the Coyotes' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 284th, while the Lions are ranked 662nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Calabasas hit Oaks Christian with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Liam Guedalia, Eitan Ben-Moshe, and Dean Wilson.

Meanwhile, Agoura was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Thousand Oaks. The contest was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Chargers couldn't quite close it out.

Agoura's loss dropped their record down to 1-5-2. As for Calabasas, the win got them back to even at 3-3-1.
