Miller is 9-1 against Hitchcock-Tulare since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Rustlers will head out to challenge the Patriots at 6:30 p.m. Miller will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Miller had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Mt. Vernon/Plankinton on Tuesday. The Rustlers put the hurt on the Titans with a sharp 3-0 win.

Miller never let Mt. Vernon/Plankinton on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-16, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Hitchcock-Tulare unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-match winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 3-1 to Warner. While the Patriots didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Monarchs 25-19 in the first set.

Hitchcock-Tulare started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-10, 25-23, 25-23.

Miller will have to contain Cambree Hoekman as she made an impact in Hitchcock-Tulare's last game. She had 37 digs and two assists.

Miller's victory bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Hitchcock-Tulare, their loss dropped their record down to 20-4.

Everything went Miller's way against Hitchcock-Tulare when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as Miller made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rustlers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
