Soccer Game Preview: Coppell vs. Little Elm

The Coppell Cowboys will head out on the road to square off against the Little Elm Lobos at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Coppell will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.

Coppell's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. Everything went their way against Guyer as Coppell made off with a 3-0 win. Given the Cowboys' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 12th, while the Wildcats are ranked 182nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Little Elm fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against Flower Mound.

Coppell pushed their record up to 12-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Little Elm, their record is now 4-9.

Coppell skirted past Little Elm 2-1 when the teams last played back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Coppell since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
