Beaumont School extends home winning streak to seven

Recap: Beaumont School Blue Streaks vs. Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin Lions

The Beaumont School Blue Streaks waltzed into their match on Saturday with seven straight wins but they left with eight. They walked away with a 39-30 win over Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin. Given Beaumont School's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 179th, while Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin is ranked 508th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Beaumont School to victory, but perhaps none more so than Shannon Shea, who scored nine points along with 12 rebounds and two steals. Mackenizie Callender was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds.

Beaumont School's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-3. As for Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Beaumont School will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Villa Angela-St. Joseph at 7:00 p.m. As for Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin, they will head out on the road to challenge Gilmour Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Gilmour Academy will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
