Baseball Recap: Twin Valley Comes Up Short

Twin Valley was the 3-0 winner over Fleetwood when they last played one another on Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Raiders fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 5-4 on Wednesday.

Kooper Zdimal put in work while hitting and pitching. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Twin Valley is 4-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-3 otherwise. Zdimal was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run. That home run was his first of the season.

In other batting news, Nate Lord made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that he hit this season.

Twin Valley's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Fleetwood, their victory bumped their record up to 9-3.

Coming up, Twin Valley will square off against Governor Mifflin at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Fleetwood, they will challenge Wilson at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
