Basketball Recap: George Stevens Academy Comes Up Short

George Stevens Academy lost against Dexter two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The George Stevens Academy Eagles fell just short of the Dexter Tigers by a score of 38-36. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Eagles have suffered against the Tigers since February 28, 2022.

Dexter's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Isiah Robinson led the charge by going 6 of 9 en route to 16 points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kody Kimball, who posted 12 points and four steals.

George Stevens Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season. As for Dexter, their record now sits at 9-5.

George Stevens Academy will look to defend their home court on Monday against Narraguagus at 6:30 p.m. As for Dexter, they will face off against Bangor Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
