Basketball Recap: Georgetown Comes Up Short

Georgetown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 70-46 to the Miami Valley Christian Academy Lions. The G-Men were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Miami Valley Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Gavin French, who went 6 for 14 en route to 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Casey Heap, who went 9 of 18 on his way to 24 points and five rebounds.

Georgetown's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Miami Valley Christian Academy, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2.

Georgetown has already played their next match (against East Clinton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Miami Valley Christian Academy Lions take on the Cincinnati Christian Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
