Baseball Recap: Coronado Takes a Loss

Coronado fell victim to Lubbock-Cooper and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 11-0 to the Pirates. The Mustangs have struggled against the Pirates recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Coronado saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isaiah Vazquez, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Coronado's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Lubbock-Cooper, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 13-8.

While Coronado had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
