For the first time this season, Sonoraville will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will head out on the road to take on the Union County Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Sonoraville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 6.4 goals per game this season.

Union County better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Sonoraville's game on Friday is any indication, that's when Sonoraville really gets things going. The Phoenix's defense stepped up to hand Fannin County a 3-0 shutout. Fans of Sonoraville have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 3+ goals.

Jaren Sanchez and Juliet Kindl scored all three of Sonoraville's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 16 goals.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Union County took on Ringgold on Tuesday. The Panthers came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 2-0. Give Union County's defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Union County's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Sonoraville, their win bumped their record up to 5-0.

Everything went Sonoraville's way against Union County in their previous matchup back in March of 2025, as Sonoraville made off with a 7-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Phoenix since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
