Softball Recap: Churchill Takes a Loss

If Churchill was riding high fresh off their 16-1 takedown of Wayne Memorial on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Chargers fell just short of the Riverview Pirates by a score of 4-3 on Saturday. The game marked the Chargers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Churchill's defeat dropped their record down to 13-4. As for Riverview, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 18-5-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Churchill beat the Pirates by a score of 11-10 later that day.
