Softball Recap: Heritage Makes It Four in a Row at Home

Heritage's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Dominion Titans. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Pride also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Natalie Groft and Brooke Gallagher did most of the damage at the plate: Groft went 1-for-3 with one home run, while Gallagher went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That home run marked the first that Groft has launched this season.

Heritage hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Heritage's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-7. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.8 runs over those games. As for Dominion, their loss dropped their record down to 2-14.

Heritage will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Titans: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
