Beaver had to endure a six-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They never let the New Castle Hurricanes onto the board and left with a 1-0 win on Monday. The victory was just what Beaver needed coming off of a 6-0 defeat in their prior matchup.

Beaver made their fans wait, but they earned their first win of the season to make their record 1-2. As for New Castle, they dropped their record down to 0-3 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
