Baseball Recap: Centauri Takes a Loss

Centauri came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Alamosa Mean Moose, falling 21-3. The Falcons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mean Moose earlier this season, when they won 11-10.

Jace Haslett made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Centauri's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Alamosa, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-10 record.

Looking ahead, Centauri will be playing at home against Montezuma-Cortez at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Falcons surely won't give up without a fight. Alamosa does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
