Buckeye Valley has gone 6-0 against Bishop Ready recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Buckeye Valley Barons will face off against the Bishop Ready Silver Knights at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Buckeye Valley has four straight wins, Bishop Ready has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

If Buckeye Valley beats Bishop Ready with 48 points on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. Buckeye Valley took down Worthington Christian 48-32 on Saturday. Given the Barons' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while the Warriors are ranked 376th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Ella Hazelrigg, who went 9 of 15 en route to 23 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Buckeye Valley's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Avelina Wagner, who posted seven points in addition to eight assists and three steals.

Meanwhile, Bishop Ready ended up a good deal behind North Union on Wednesday and lost 44-28.

Bishop Ready's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Buckeye Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 13-2.

Everything went Buckeye Valley's way against Bishop Ready when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as Buckeye Valley made off with a 50-29 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Buckeye Valley since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
