Soccer Game Preview: Bellingham vs. Hopedale

The Bellingham Blackhawks will venture away from home to square off against the Hopedale Blue Raiders at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bellingham's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for nine straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Having struggled with eight losses in a row, Bellingham turned things around against Norwood on Thursday. Neither they nor the Mustangs could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked Bellingham's first draw of the season.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last contest, Hopedale made sure to put some goals up on the board against Whitinsville Christian on Friday. They never let the Crusaders get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. Given Hopedale's advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts soccer rankings (they are ranked 126th, while Whitinsville Christian are ranked 274th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory got Hopedale back to even at 4-4-4. Bellingham's draw makes their record 2-8-1 this season.
