Soccer Game Preview: Carlmont vs. Aragon

The Carlmont Scots will take on the Aragon Dons at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Carlmont will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Carlmont's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over Burlingame. Given the Scots' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 418th, while the Panthers are ranked 921st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, everything went Aragon's way against South San Francisco on Wednesday as Aragon made off with a 4-1 victory. The Dons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by three goals or more this season.

Aragon's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1-2. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four games. As for Carlmont, the victory got them back to even at 4-4-1.

Carlmont beat Aragon by a goal when the teams last played back in February of 2024, winning 2-1. Does Carlmont have another victory up their sleeve, or will Aragon turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
