Basketball Recap: Mesilla Valley Christian School Makes It Five in a Row at Home

Mesilla Valley Christian School had won four straight home games and Nevaeh Benjamin did her part to make it five on Tuesday. The Mesilla Valley Christian School SonBlazers walked away with a 40-28 victory over the Hot Springs Tigers thanks in part to Benjamin, who posted 16 points in addition to six steals and five rebounds. She is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last six games she's played.

Hot Springs lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Andrea Luna, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 13 boards. Makenna Woods was another key player, putting up four points and nine rebounds.

Mesilla Valley Christian School's win bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Hot Springs, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.

Mesilla Valley Christian School has already played their next match, a 58-30 victory against Hatch Valley on the 16th. As for Hot Springs, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 64-18 defeat against West Las Vegas on the 16th.
