Baseball Game Preview: Centennial Eagles vs. Page Pirates

The Centennial Eagles will take on the Page Pirates at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Centennial will be strutting in after a win while Page will be coming in after a loss.

Centennial will bounce into Wednesday's game after beating Jensen Beach, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Eagles walked away with a 9-5 victory over the Falcons on Tuesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Centennial got a great performance from Armani Estevez as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over six innings pitched. Estevez has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Rylan Efron was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one double. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Nathaniel Rodriguez was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Page was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 9-1 to South Fork.

Page saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bo Cooke, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base.

Page's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Centennial, their victory bumped their record up to 5-11-1.
