Baseball Recap: LEE Comes Up Short

LEE made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Madison, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Volunteers fell just short of the Mavericks by a score of 3-1 on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Volunteers in their meetings with the Mavericks: they've now lost six in a row.

LEE saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nolan Finnelly, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

LEE's loss dropped their record down to 9-15-1. As for Madison, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-15-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Mavericks beat LEE by a score of 10-9 on Saturday.
