After a string of eight wins, Southwest Onslow's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They came up short against the Kinston Vikings, falling 72-48. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Stallions have suffered since March 5, 2024.

Southwest Onslow's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 15-3. As for Kinston, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.
