Basketball Game Preview: Carter Green Hornets vs. Seymour Eagles

Carter is 0-10 against Seymour since February of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. Having just played yesterday, the Carter Green Hornets will get right back to it and host the Seymour Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Monday, Carter didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Maryville Christian, but they still walked away with a 53-49 victory.

Meanwhile, Seymour had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against Pigeon Forge on Friday as Seymour made off with a 47-26 win. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 20 points or more this season.

Carter's victory bumped their record up to 6-15. As for Seymour, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 12-7.

Carter might still be hurting after the 64-38 loss they got from Seymour when the teams last played back in December of 2024. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Carter was down 38-18.
