Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Grand). They really took it to the Gilpin County Eagles for the full four quarters, racking up a 44-16 victory. The Mustangs pushed the score to 33-10 by the end of the third, a deficit the Eagles had little chance of recovering from.

West Grand's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jalen Geffers, who posted 11 points.

When it comes to explaining why Gilpin County lost on Tuesday, don't look at Ben Bushey. Despite the final result, he earned five points and 11 boards.

With the victory, West Grand broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-12. As for Gilpin County, they dropped their record down to 0-11 with the loss, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.

West Grand didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 44-42 win against North Park on the 24th. As for Gilpin County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, an 86-12 defeat against Heritage Christian on the 23rd.
