Softball Game Preview: Davies Career & Tech Patriots vs. Cranston East Thunderbolts

For the second straight game, Davies Career & Tech will face off against Cranston East. The Patriots will face off against the Thunderbolts at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Davies Career & Tech is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games.

Davies Career & Tech is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Rhode Island's top teams: Cranston East, who was ranked sixth at the time (Davies Career & Tech was ranked 20th). The Patriots sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 win over the Thunderbolts on Wednesday.

Gabriella Fisher was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 15 batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.
