Volleyball Game Preview: Atlantic Shores Christian Seahawks vs. StoneBridge Cavaliers

Atlantic Shores Christian hasn't had much luck against StoneBridge recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Seahawks will challenge the Cavaliers at 6:30 p.m.

Atlantic Shores Christian lost 3-0 to Gateway Christian on Thursday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-19, 25-12.

Meanwhile, StoneBridge put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Greenbrier Christian Academy as they made off with a 3-0 victory.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-18, 25-12.

Atlantic Shores Christian better focus on containing Libbie Plumlee and Selah Telfer as the pair were huge in StoneBridge's win. Plumlee had nine digs and two aces, while Telfer had five digs and two aces. Telfer has been hot for a while, having also posted 14 or more assists the last 25 times she's played.

StoneBridge was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least ten aces in eight consecutive matches.

StoneBridge's record now sits at 30-0. As for Atlantic Shores Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-16.

Atlantic Shores Christian might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from StoneBridge in their previous matchup back in September. Can the Seahawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
