North Baltimore waltzed into their game on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with a 7-2 win over the Upper Scioto Valley Rams. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Brynlee Schmidt spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Layla Delancy was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Leah Trout was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

North Baltimore pushed their record up to 12-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Upper Scioto Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Baltimore will head out to challenge McComb at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers will need to watch out since the Panthers have now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests. As for Upper Scioto Valley, they will venture away from home to take on Waynesfield-Goshen at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
