Soccer Game Preview: North Pitt vs. Clinton

The North Pitt Panthers will challenge the Clinton Dark Horses at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as North Pitt comes in on eight and Clinton on 14.

North Pitt is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Roanoke Rapids. That's two games straight that North Pitt have won by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Clinton's game on Monday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They never let Carrboro get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. Clinton wouldn't have won without Emilson Marcia, who scored the game-winner.

North Pitt's record now sits at 20-2-2. As for Clinton, their record is now 24-2.

North Pitt suffered a grim 5-1 defeat to Clinton in their previous meeting back in August. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
