Volleyball Game Preview: West Warwick Wizards vs. Johnston Panthers

The West Warwick Wizards are taking a road trip to face off against the Johnston Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

West Warwick is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Rhode Island's top teams: South Kingstown, who was ranked 24th at the time (West Warwick was ranked 15th). The Wizards put the hurt on the Rebels with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Johnston entered their tilt with Juanita Sanchez Complex on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Cavaliers.

Johnston wouldn't go down easily and took Juanita Sanchez Complex into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-23, 25-13, 22-25, 15-13.

West Warwick's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Johnston, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-5.
