Basketball Recap: Saxony Lutheran Comes Up Short

Saxony Lutheran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They were beaten by the Jackson Fighting Indians 62-29. While losing is never fun, the Crusaders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 414th, while the Fighting Indians are ranked ninth).

Saxony Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Jackson, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 18-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Saxony Lutheran will challenge North County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Jackson, they are taking a road trip to square off against New Madrid County Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
