Baseball Game Preview: North Iredell Raiders vs. St. Stephens Indians

For the second straight game, North Iredell will face off against St. Stephens. The Raiders are taking a road trip to challenge the Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. North Iredell is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7 runs per game this season.

North Iredell will bounce into Thursday's match after beating St. Stephens, who they had gone 0-6 against in their six prior meetings. The Raiders never let the Indians get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory on Tuesday. The win was nothing new for the Raiders as they're now sitting on three straight.

Will Oehler was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. That's the most doubles he has posted since back in April of 2024. Xavier Burgess was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

North Iredell pushed their record up to 15-3 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for St. Stephens, their loss dropped their record down to 11-5.
