Anderson Prep Academy suffers third straight loss on the road

Recap: Anderson Prep Academy Jets vs. Sheridan Blackhawks

If the Anderson Prep Academy Jets were feeling good off their 71-24 takedown of the Providence Cristo Rey Wolves last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Anderson Prep Academy was dealt a 72-43 loss at the hands of Sheridan on Saturday. Anderson Prep Academy has struggled against Sheridan recently, as their match on Saturday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Lincoln Fathauer and Letarius Stevens certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Fathauer scored 12 points, while Stevens scored 7 points. Markus Mcclain was another key contributor, scoring 3 points.

Trey Page was a one-man wrecking crew for Sheridan as he went 9 for 13 from beyond the arc en route to 39 points and 3 assists. That makes it two consecutive games in which Page has scored at least 25% of Sheridan's points. Another player making a difference was Caleb Wright, who scored 13 points along with 8 assists and 8 rebounds.

Anderson Prep Academy bumped their record down to 1-3 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Sheridan, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Anderson Prep Academy will take on Cambridge City Lincoln at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Sheridan, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Faith Christian at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Faith Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Saturday.
