Baseball Game Preview: Ferndale Eagles vs. Clawson Trojans

The Ferndale Eagles will face off against the Clawson Trojans at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

15 must be Ferndale's lucky number: they beat Southeastern with that score not once but twice on Saturday. The Eagles blew past the Jungaleers 15-5. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won nine matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Clawson unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Monday. They and Cousino finished up on equal footing with a 5-5 draw.

Ferndale is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-10 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.6 runs over those games. With that tie, Clawson's record moves to 19-7-1.

Ferndale came up short against Clawson in their previous meeting back in March of 2019, falling 6-1. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
