Basketball Game Preview: Sebastian River Sharks vs. West Florida Jaguars

Having just played yesterday, the Sebastian River Sharks will jump right back in to play the West Florida Jaguars at 9:50 a.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Friday, Sebastian River came up short against Ezell-Harding Christian and fell 52-45.

Despite the loss, Sebastian River saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Destiny Pickard posted 16 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Davione Stinson, who put up ten points.

Even though they lost, Sebastian River smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in five consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, West Florida was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 60-53 to Centennial.

Sebastian River's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for West Florida, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6.
