For the first time this season, Space Coast will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will be playing at home against the Bayside Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Space Coast's defense has only allowed 10.3 points per game this season, so Bayside's offense will have their work cut out for them.
On Friday, Space Coast humbled Cocoa Beach with a 48-21 victory. The Vipers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by 27 points or more this season.

Space Coast's run defense was locked in: Cocoa Beach could only muster 1.9 yards per carry. While two picked up at least six total tackles, Cook stood above the rest. He rushed for 42 yards and a pair of scores, and also caught one TD. Space Coast didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 5.6.
Space Coast's defense didn't let Remy Vigne, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for four sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Javier Shivers, Kole Gamble, and Charlie Williams, who each picked up one sack apiece.
Meanwhile, Bayside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 14-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of Astronaut.
The victory made it two in a row for Space Coast and bumps their season record up to 5-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 34.5 points over those games. As for Bayside, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.
Space Coast was dealt a bruising 52-7 defeat at the hands of Bayside when the teams last played back in August of 2021. Thankfully for the Vipers, Justus Durant (who rushed for 231 yards and four touchdowns on only 12 carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
